The original task was to provide a gap analysis, using the MTS TECHOP guidance, prior to updating the FMEA for the client to use.
This work scope soon expanded after the initial gap analysis, as it was found that the original FMEA no longer met the updated industry standards available.
So a full update of the FMEA was suggested and accepted by the client.
The entire process was completed in around ten working days, with five of those days on board the vessel, at sea, conducting the trials and inspection of the vessel to verify the as-built DP systems installed.
The documents weere submitted to the client, approved and submitted to class for approval. Positive feedback was received from all the stakeholders.
